March 12, 2025—The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) held its 28th annual Salute to the Stars Gala in honor of CFISD’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year honorees March 6 at the Berry Center.
Feb. 27, 2025—The CFISD human resources department invites prospective employees interested in becoming a part of an exciting future with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD to attend the districtwide Career Fair, set for April 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 3:45 p.m.) at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).
Feb. 24, 2025—Two pieces of art from two CFISD students were selected to be part of the 2025 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.
Feb. 14, 2025—The 11th Superintendent’s Fun Run is scheduled for March 29 from 8-11:30 a.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) and Towne Lake community.
Feb. 10, 2025—Lamkin Elementary School second grade student Alenny Zafra is praised by her teachers for being a hard-working student.
Feb. 4, 2025—Copeland Elementary School fifth grade student Wilson Nguyen won first place in the 23rd round of the annual CFISD Elementary Spelling Bee, held Jan. 29 at the Berry Center.

Nov. 26, 2024—The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) named CFISD a 2024 District of Distinction award winner, marking the fourth time the district has earned the prestigious designation. CFISD is among only 96 districts in the state to earn this award.
Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents. The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class.
All Lamkin Elementary students will be able to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost to the parent.
